Find out where an MBA can take you in one of the world’s best cities for quality of life. It is said that in life you should never stop learning because there is always something to improve upon. Starting with your existing skill set and knowledge base, you only need to keep it up to date. Perhaps you’ve always liked working with people and maybe you’ll discover that you enjoy an Excel spreadsheet more than you thought possible. What better way is there to show a solidification of your knowledge than through a graduate degree?
There are many reasons graduate students choose an MBA, but it’s important to keep in mind that today’s employers aren’t just on the lookout for someone holding a diploma. Employers search for well-rounded MBA candidates who have international exposure, and are therefore more likely to succeed in today’s modern, globally integrated business world. Marie-Francine Richard, an alumna of the MBA in International Business program at EU Business School Munich echoes the importance of the achievement:
“I had been told by a lot of recruiters that in order to be considered by the major consulting firms, it would be highly advantageous, and sometimes even required, to have an MBA… The reason I chose EU was because of the small class sizes and international students…” Richard now works at Accenture as the technology delivery lead manager within their Cloud First Group.
Along with the credibility gained by earning an MBA, graduates also benefit from an increased salary after graduation. Nearly half of EU Business School MBA graduates go on to make at least €100,000 euros per year. An MBA provdes a great return on investment and is also the perfect stepping stone to senior management positions since graduates are equipped with the necessary leadership and communication skills for the job.
As for where to do your MBA, Munich has a lot to offer. Munich is a cosmopolitan city which is home to a number of high-growth sectors, such as communication, media and finance. All are booming industries and each require candidates with a specialized skill set.
Studying at EU Business School Munich gives students a privileged look into German and international businesses. EU places students at the heart of famous Munich organizations through industrial visits to companies like BMW and Süddeutsche Zeitung, Germany’s largest daily newspaper. These industrial visits complement EU’s on-campus guest speaker sessions. Past speakers have included industry leaders such as Alexandre Zeller, chairman of the board of directors at the Swiss stock exchange, and Yves Leterme, former prime minister of Belgium. EU’s MBA students also enjoy extracurricular opportunities for personal development through networking events and EU’s close partnerships with TEDxMunich and the Toastmaster’s Effective Communicators Club.
No matter the major or specialization, an MBA demonstrates that the graduate possesses a combination of vital networking, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. An MBA is recognized by both employers and colleagues as a display of consolidated professional and personal capabilities. It may be exactly that which lands you your next promotion.
